About this event

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a compulsory yearly meeting of the County Scout Council with important legal aspects and key, mandatory business that must be covered. Where papers are shared in advance then they do not have to be read out in full (or paper wasted in printing off more copies than needed), meaning the event is compliant but not too boring, lengthy or tedious!

The AGM is your chance to learn about what has been happening in your county, have your say where entitled to vote and ensure that all members are represented at this important event.

As Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society the County Executive are also keen to ask all members to consider joining the Committee - and in particular to encourage more under 25s to actively participate (something that many Groups and Districts are also keen to encourage, where not already in place).

Relevant papers and updates will be issued to all those who book to attend, by the email you use on here, nearer the time.

If you are a member of the County Scout Council (see link in first paragraph for who that involves) and have yet to vote do please use this link now - there are only 4 agenda items that require your response.

Due to continued uncertainty around what Government and The Scouts restrictions in force on this date will be a virtual event will take place.
